Here's my boy in his favorite place, sunk into the deflated beanbag ottoman/chair in front of the wood stove. The angle is a little weird, but so is the dog.
xo My dog has a thing about swiftly-moving water. He must bark at it, and occasionally bite it. Today the waterfalls on Mt. Toby were running extra heavy due to overnight rainstorms, so Franklin had to let them know what he thought about it. I like to imagine he's having a conversation with the spirit or ghost of the stream, ala Spirited Away.
Franklin is still crazy for acorns. He will pick one up, toss it into the air, paw at it on the ground, bat it around like a cat, and roll joyfully all over it. For the coup de grace, he'll crack it open with his sharp molars. These pics were taken on this morning's unseasonably-warm walk.
I took this a week ago, sitting in the hammock in my back yard. Franklin hopped right in. I think he mostly wanted a better vantage point to spy on the chipmunks.
Here he is in the backyard, standing straight and tall for the dog show judges. I'm awarding him Best in Show. Happy Friday! xo
