Franklin figured out that an electric guitar case with molded foam fits him just perfectly, both physically and attitude-wise. Rock on, my little doggo.
I've been laid out with an energy-sapping cold for most of the week (which is why there haven't been new posts appearing here). Franklin has been enjoying my near-constant presence on the sofa. Here he is sleeping on my blanketed legs. Here's to healthier days ahead! xo
Well, not the LAST warm days ever, but the last ones we'll likely get for several months. Gotta soak up all of the hammock time we can. xo!
Franklin likes to keep tabs on the large population of chipmunks that inhabit our yard. This is one of his favored positions, as it allows him to rest his body on the chair back. Less tiring that way. (Do I have a chair that's specifically set aside for my dog to use? Yes. Yes I do.)
xo! Like me, Franklin enjoys a short week. He is also partial to napping on laps. Just look at this sweet baboo! xo!
It's National Dog Day, apparently! And who could be more national than Franklin, this scrappy mutt from the streets of the south, now being raised in a struggling post-industrial New England town? His is the story of America itself. Cheers to you, Franklin! May every hammock welcome you. xo!
I'll be away from my big computer next week, but I have a plan for sharing some creative stuff with you while I'm on the go. Tune in to see how that goes!
xo Here's Franklin, soaking it all in earlier this week. We are actually both standing on a very narrow pathway, a section of trail I like to call "tick alley." (Haven't found a tick on either of us for a few weeks, knock on wood.) Not enough Franklin for you? Here's a close-up: And here's another shot, taken just after the one above. Franklin and I hope you get to soak up some summer this weekend!
xo Franklin is not afraid of hopping up into the hammock and sometimes taking a little snooze. We are alike in that way. xo!
We have a guest dog staying with us for a couple of weeks, and she is a delight! Her name is Bbo Bbo, and she's about six months old. And she and old-man Franklin (he's two) love, love, LOVE to wrassle and play. Almost nothing brings me as much pure happiness as watching dogs playing together, and these two are tops at it.
