Kate Kato

9/12/2016

Have you met Kate Kato? She crafts insects, flowers, and fungi out of paper, fabric, and other bits.

It's like a science museum created  by The Borrowers. Everything is so cleverly made! On her website, she has a nice about-me page, which includes the behind-the-scenes shot, sahred below. I always enjoy seeing other artists' work spaces. It either gives me ideas for making/organizing, and/or reassures me that my space isn't too terribly messy, relatively.

It looks like she sometimes uses the color of the found paper as part of the design, instead of painting over it. I like it.
Go see more work from Kate on her site!
